Cottonised Flax

            Cottonized Flax fiber is manufactured by shortening the flax fibers and refining it by eliminating rough cut fiber endings and removal of chives and waste. This type of fibers is used for dry method of spinning, cottonized fibers are added with cotton proper fibers and/or synthetic fibers, as a result of this mix flax-type yarns can be produced.

Yarn Application:

  • Spinning 100% Linen Yarn up to Nm14.5
  • Blending 20%-50%
  • Purity less than 1%
  • End-users: cotton spinning mills (open end, ring and rotor spinning)

 

          Short Flax Fibers (pre-cottonized) are also the primary material for cottonized flax fiber, it is used as natural composites in many industries such as:

-Automotive, Filtration, Thermal insulation, Geotextiles, Medical, Technical applications, non-woven composites. 

Solutions: Fire-retardant using eco-friendly substances (Bicarbonate of Sodium)
